Willow is back again

One month ago I feared that Willow would die. His malignant melanoma "exploded" and he was suffering a lot! I knew that I had to come to a decision after the summer academy in denmark ...

... but - thank god - we seem to be gifted with more time spending together : )

A friend of mine, Steffi Hase, took pictures last week. I like them very much, because they show Willows condition right now! He is in such a good mood, enjoying his life.

Clinic with Christofer Dahlgren // Limone

I was very curious regarding the advanced longeing. The idea is consistent and comprehensible. I will stay tuned ...

Limone - model pupil as he is - was observant and very eager... ; )

During the clinic he was comparable relaxed, almost a bit tired. I benefited by working with the canter under the saddle...

I feel we are growing together!!!

Willow profited a lot from the instruction.

As he is my very first horse who accompanied me within the academic art of riding from my very beginning, there are a lot of mistakes which catch us again and again...

The emphasis currently lies in the foreward even in collected work and the profit of the movement that follows the maximum collection.

Latest Bent Clinic

Bent Branderup Clinic Retrospect

It was a very intense weekend! I realized my deficiency .- with the effect that I intend to act with more awareness and vision. Shame on me!!!

Apart from this my horses did their very best!

Limone was rather nervous deep inside, but cool and brave in the eyes of the audience. I am very gratefull that we share our time - gives me great delight!

Willow - my dear - didn´t let me down once again. Three weeks ago we started to mobilize and work out after weeks of healing sprained tendons. That was the reason I worked him from the ground disclaiming pushing movements.

Schoolhalt and collected walk and trot prepares him for our next aim: the collected canter. This will hopefully enables him to cope the next step ..., and the next, and the next .....

my new protégé

... this is Limone, a Hispano Arab Gelding. Tanja and Sabine convinced me to work with him constantly in future. His outstanding characteristic is his nice interieur - he is a striver , )

Some have to be forced towards luck ... thanks to you both!

Willows birthday

Today is Willows 21st birthday!!!! We enjoyed a ride into the woods. It took a little longer as I planed, because I lost the way - by good fortune: discovered lovely smooth tracks and lilys of valley.

Willow in his twenties

During the last year Willow understood the idea of collection and more and more agreed to the arrêts.
My training with Sandro enabled me to do even groundwork with Willow.

The experiance with the arrêts enables me to communicate much more sensible and clear with Sandro from the saddle - it is so exciting - I can't get enough!!!!

Willow

... born in 1991.

Since 2001 he acompanies me. He is my very best teacher. He is ambitious and generous at the same time. He is still going strong, hopefully for another 20 years!!!

He is born in 1997.
I don't know much about his past - except it was not easy at all. He denied everything... every step was coupled with pain.

Today - almost four years later - things changed... we are on a good way!
